A climograph shows the precipitation and temperature in a given
place over the course of one year (or an average of several years). Usually precipitation is displayed by
bars (and in mm), and temperatures are displayed by a line connecting dots of
average monthly temperatures (in degrees C). This climograph shows us the average precipitation and
temperature in Atlanta, Georgia as measured between 1971 and 2000. There is a clear peak in temperature in
July, but precipitation levels fluctuate a bit. There are several high points in precipitation, the peak
being in April, with other significant highs in January, February, and August.
