Although this parallel coordinate graph may seem confusing at
first, it is helpful when you are looking for similarities and differences in
profiles of datasets while taking several variables into consideration. According to the author of the website,
the subset of the data in the lowest decile of the variable LLTI is shown in
black while the remainder of the dataset is in gray. This helps the eye to catch similarities and trends – both a
general trend and outliers become clear.
In addition, low values are seen under the variables of “Density” and “Unemp”.
